His passing, coupled with my mother's in 2015, now leaves me without the two greatest leaders of my life. I was not entirely prepared for the tangible loss one feels when both parents are gone. Although demonstrated in dramatically different ways, the grace, determination, and humor with which they both led will continue to inspire me.
